I'm Grateful for My Children Because
My thoughts came freely. This time the topic is "Me Time" and my thoughts are a jumbled mess. Why is it so much easier for me to express my thoughts about my children, but not myself? Their needs, but not my own?
I suspect it's because I feel uncomfortable taking time for myself. It's not that I don't feel I deserve it. (My self-esteem is intact.) It's just that it doesn't seem to be the best use of my time. But, you'll burn out otherwise! Yes, maybe so. I've definitely had those moments when I've been a crumpled mess on the floor in my laundry room. Then again, five people's worth of laundry is enough to make anyone cry!
So then it occurred to me . . .
